Adjectives for Comparison

Read the sentences carefully. Fill in the blanks with the correct Comparative (comparing two things) or Superlative (comparing three or more things) form of the adjective in brackets.

• Hint: Use "-er" or "more" when you see the word "than". Use "-est" or "the most" when you see the word "the" before the blank.

Exercise 1: Short Adjectives

(Rule: Add -er / -est. If the adjective ends in consonant-vowel-consonant, double the last letter!)

Exercise 3: Irregular Adjectives

(Rule: These adjectives completely change their spelling!)
