Exercise 1: Common Nouns vs. Proper Nouns

Quick Reminder:

Read the sentences below. Circle (ضع دائرة حول) the Proper Nouns and underline (ضع خطاً تحت) the Common Nouns.

Exercise 2: Singular vs. Plural Nouns

Complete the sentences by changing the singular noun in the brackets [ ] into its correct plural form (صيغة الجمع). Watch out for irregular plurals (الجموع الشاذة)!

Exercise 3: Countable vs. Uncountable Nouns

Look at the ingredients (مكونات) needed to make a traditional Friday couscous. Write C if the noun is Countable (معدود) or U if the noun is Uncountable (غير معدود) on the line next to each word.

Exercise 4: The Big Mix!

Read the short text about Moroccan hospitality (الضيافة المغربية). Look at the bold nouns, then write them down under their correct category below.

When visitors arrive at Youssef's house in Fez, his mother always welcomes them warmly. She serves delicious cookies and hot coffee on a traditional silver tray. Everyone feels great happiness during these moments.
