Past Perfect in Action

Grammar Reminder:

• Form: Had + Past Participle (V3)

• Use: We use the Past Perfect to show which action happened first in the past.

• Action 1 (First): They had eaten dinner.

• Action 2 (Second): They went to sleep.

• Together: After they had eaten dinner, they went to sleep.
